2017 in review

This year there have been lots of new arrivals, exclusive whiskies, top cigars and many exclusive events. Here is 2017 in review:

During 2017 we worked closely with our suppliers and brought some old, rare and exclusive whiskies. We also had the opportunity to offer whiskies that in some cases where even better value than at supermarkets!

At the very beginning of 2017 we released a single cask whisky. Independent bottlers and wine merchants Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled, exclusively for us, a 21 year old Miltonduff . The whisky was bottled at natural cask strength with no added colouring. Members of the Guild of Maltheads were the first to sample this whisky and they all loved it. We included this gorgeous malt in our popular ‘The Independents’ and ‘Straight form the Cask’ tastings.

During the summer we bottled a single cask whisky: our brilliant Longmorn 21 year old. This single malt and the Miltonduff 21 year old were praised by whisky legend Charles Maclean at a private tasting. Again, members of the Guild of Maltheads were the first to sample it. We also secured an exclusive deal with independent bottlers Skene Scotch Whisky and we stock most of their releases. Most of our tastings include their releases.

This year we hosted and attended several private events. In February we went all the way to Hopetoun House for an exclusive function. We were in charge of handing cigars out and providing cigar advise to attendees. Some of the guests at the function loved the cigars so much that up until now we are still supplying them with cigars.

A month later we attended a function hosted by luxury concierge Vivere XO. The event took place at Forbes of Kingennie and lots of canapes, champagne and whisky were enjoyed by all. Of course, special cigars and single cask whiskies were paired at this exclusive event. We now supply whisky and cigars to Vivere XO clients.

So much happened this year that we better list some of the events we attended or hosted this year:

-The Roseberry Club, an exclusive monthly club were art, fine whisky and cigars combine

-Corporate events at various restaurants and hotels throughout the city.

-South Queensferry Whisky club’s yearly tasting

Our cigar range was expanded to include more vitolas and brands. Many of our cigars go for between £10 and £20 so everyone can now enjoy a great cigar without having to break the piggy bank. New brands include: My Father cigars Le Bijou, Liga Privada, Quorum cigars, Olive Double Toro, and the highly anticipated: Cohiba Talisman. These cigars flew off our shelves!

All of the above wouldn’t have been possible without the most important people at Jeffrey st. Whisky and Tobacco: YOU.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forwards to bringing even more joy, luxury, flavour and tradition to our friends and clients in 2018.

We wish you all a great 2018.

Joanna, Hector and Daniel
