Romeo y Julieta Churchill Anejados

 Romeo y JulietaChurchill Aňejados cigars are presented in their original labelled boxes and silver now retro aluminium tubes and are the latest vitola to be added to the AÑEJADOS or Aged range. The concept was introduced by Habanoss.a. in 2015 and there have been five releases since. However the R&J Churchill is the first vitola to be presented in tubes which like the tobacco used, date back to a period several years ago when they were laid to rest.

Like its predecessors, the cigars have been resting for between 5 to 8 years in the perfect climatic conditions of Cuba. This will afford the cigars a mellow, more refined taste as the blend of the filler leaves meld together over time realising their full combined potential.

ROMEO Y JULIETA 

The Romeo y Julieta brand was founded in 1875 by Inocencio Alvarez and Manin Garcia. It was named after the famous play by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet, that would be read aloud to cigar rollers by Lectores (readers) and quickly became their favourite. The brand became particularly famous among the wealthiest people in the world  and at its peak was producing 2000 personalised ranges of Cigars. Perhaps the most famous of the brand's devotees was Sir Winston Churchill. His name was not only commemorated on a band but it has also served to describe the brand's most famous size: Romeo y JulietaChurchill. 

The 21st century saw the arrival of three similarly named sizes: Short Churchill, Wide Churchill and Petit Churchill. The brand's balanced and aromatic blend of selected fillers and binder leaves from Vuelta Abajo zone makes it the classic medium bodied Havana.
