Description
Tomintoul Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish
This small batch bottling is crafted by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married and finished in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez sherry butts from Andalucía, Spain.
The finishing process results in a beautifully rich, complex, and full-flavoured single malt Scotch whisky.
Tomintoul Distillery
The distillery was established in 1965 through a joint venture between two whisky-broking companies, Hay & MacLeod and W. & S. Strong. In 1973, it was incorporated into the Whyte & Mackay portfolio, where it operated as part of the blending giant’s production network for nearly three decades. In 2000, ownership transferred to Angus Dundee Distillers. Under its new management, the distillery serves a dual role: it supplies mature whisky for a range of contract blends while also producing and marketing single malt whisky under its own label.
