Dufftown 14 year old Woodrow's Of Edinburgh Cask #900705313
This superb single cask Dufftown 14 year old was bottled by Easlin Alba in Leith, Edinburgh. The whisky was matured in a refill hogshead before spending some time finishing in an Oloroso cask made of American white oak. This whisky was bottled at natural cask strength (53.4% ABV) and showing its natural colour. No chill filtration was involved either.
Expect chocolate undertones, winter spice and malty aromas on the nose. The palate is generous with brown sugar hints, wood tannins, nutmeg and cigar box flavours.
Eastlin Alba
After starting as whisky cask traders, the team at Eastlin Alba adopted a policy: 'always get samples drawn for their customers'. This was so that their clients always knew what they were getting. At times, the team found, and still finds, some superb casks that were 'too good to pass on', those casks are then bottled under the Woodrow's of Edinburgh Warehouse Reserve label.
