Arran Sleeping Warrior
Arran Sleeping Warrior is a rare and limited single malt release from this distillery located in Lochranza, Isle of Arran. Only 6000 bottles were produced. The whisky is a blend of whiskies drawn from sherry casks, ex-bourbon casks and red wine casks. The whisky takes its name from the scenery in the island. A mountain range on the north side of the island resembles a sleeping man.
Arran distillery profile
Arran distillery is one of Scotland's very few independently owned distilleries. It is located in Lochranza, Isle of Arran. The distillery was founded in 1994 and has produced some remarkable whiskies ever since. This distillery is also the only one in Scotland with permission to use the image and signature of the famous poet Robert Burns. Its logo with the two eagles pays homage to two of these birds of prey that famously nested at the distillery when it was being built. The works had to stop for a few moths to leave the birds undisturbed.
