Cask Islay Single Malt whisky
Cask Islay is the single malt whisky from an undisclosed distillery in Islay. It was bottled by A.D. Rattray and has a medium level of peat on the palate. Salty notes appear too and the price is incredibly accessible.
A.D. Rattray independent bottlers
A. D. Rattray are independent whisky bottlers established in 1868. In the last quarter of the 19th century the company represented various established Whisky distilleries and distributed their whiskies all over the West of Scotland. The business was sold in the late 1920's to whisky brokers William Walker and Co. It wasn't until 2002 that a fourth generation descendant of Andrew Dewar Rattray, Tim Morrison, released a new Stronachie whisky. Two years later the fabulous single cask range was introduced. These days the company's portfolio includes Stronachie and Cask Islay single malt whiskeis and the Bank Note blended whisky.
