Edradour 10 year old
Edradour 10 year old is the flagship single malt release from this tiny distillery located in Pitlochry. The whisky has a rich and thick palate with sweet notes similar to Caribbean rum, spice and dried fruits.
Edradour distillery is located in Pitlochry. It was founded as a small farm distillery in the first half of the 19th century. Up until 2005 Edradour was considered to be Scotland's smallest distillery with a spirit production capacity of just 90000 liters per year. Some Highland distilleries produce that amount of spirit in just a week. In 1982 the distillery was purchased by a subsidiary of Pernod-Ricard and a visitor center was added almost at the same time. This distillery is truly unique as it employs Scotland's last Morton's refrigerator to cool down the wort. The distillery has a great range of cask finishes and produces a peated single malt that goes under the name 'Ballechin'.
