Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish
The Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish is one of those pleasant surprises in the world of whisky. First, there aren't many whiskies finished in this rare type of wine. Second, it is delicious, it won a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and it was then transferred to Madeira casks. Expect a palate with plenty of yellow fruit and spice.
LochLomond distillery was fonded in 1965. The distillery bears the name of its water source and is located at the former site of a car factory. This distillery is truly unique in that the equipment's set up is the only one of its kind in the entire whisky industry. They use a combination of Lomond stills, pot stills and continuous stills. This set up allows the distillery to have a wide range of whisky brands. The best known are LochLomond, Glen Garry and Inchmurrin.
