Kinloch Malt Strathspey 70cl
The Kinloch Malt Strathspey is named after the Spey whisky region in Scotland. The word, Strathspey, is the Anglicisation of the Scots word (Strath Sp̬) for Speyside. The wide valley across and around the River Spey is universally acknowledged as the heartland of malt distillation in Scotland. Kinloch Malt Strathspey was chosen to be a bottling that reflects the characteristics of this region.
The malts included in the spirit come from some of the most prestigious distilleries along the banks of the River Spey: Glenrothes, Glenfarclas, Miltonduff, Craigellachie
The black porcelain bottle represents the bottle that would have been used in the early 19th century by local people that would go to their local grocer shop, e.g. Chivas Brothers in Aberdeen, and fill their bottle direct from the cask.
Skene Scotch Whisky
Skene Scotch Whisky are a progressive whisky house and innovative independent bottler based in Edinburgh. Skene produce beautiful, traditional Scotch whisky for the modern day drinker. The name Skene comes from the area of Aberdeenshire which became infamous throughout Scotland as the route for whisky smugglers in the early 1800s and their clandestine transportation of whisky from the Highlands to the Lowlands. As a result, the name Skene has been inextricably linked with whisky for two centuries and through our whiskies, we continue that proud tradition today.
