The Montecristo Puritos are ideal for those wanting to enjoy a quick smoke and savour the classic flavours of the Montecristo brand. The puritos are made with tobacco grown in the Vuelta Abajoi region of Cuba.
Montecristo is probably the best known and most appreciated brand of Havanas throughout the world. The name comes from Alexandre Dumas' famous novel "The Count of Montecristo" which was a firms favourite when read to Torcedores at the factory where it was founded in 1935. The Original range of Montecristo cigars was composed of a narrow range numbered from 1 to 5. Today it consists of a wide variety of Vitolas to cover every level of enthusiast's needs. In 2004 the 52 ring gauge Edmundo size was introduced in recognition of the trend for heavy gauge cigars, and 2009 saw the introduction on new series Montecristo Open consisting of four sizes blended to a lighter flavour than the rest of Montecristo's range.
