Mr Brog Pipes
Master craftsman and senior partner Kazimierz Rog started making pipes in 1947. He started as an apprentice of legendary pipe makers Wiktor Winiarski and Zbigniew Mazuryk. The latter was completely new to pipe making when he started but as a non-professional sculptor, painter and poet he surely had plenty of artistic disposition and eagerness.
The Mr Brog brand started out offering 10 models of briar pipes and 10 models made of wild pear, wild cherry and other non-traditional materials. The experience of the old pipe master (Wiktor Winiarski) combined with the dynamic passion of his young friend and apprentice quickly made the brand famous in Poland. Little by little the brand enlarged their offering turning towards a more artistically minded way of pipe making. This was the bedrock for success on international markets.
