Romeo y Julieta

Romeo y Julieta cigars where founded in 1875 by Inocencio Alvarez and Manin Garcia. Named after the famous play by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet, that would be read aloud to the staff by Lectores and quickly became their favourite. The brand became particularly famous among the wealthiest of the worlds people and at its peak was producing 2000 individual personal Banded ranges of Cigars. Perhaps the most famous of the brands devotees was Sir Winston Churchill. His name was not a=only commemorated on a band but it has also served to describe the marque's most famous size - Romeo y Julieta Churchill.

The 21st century has seen the arrival of three similarly name sizes: Short Churchill, Wide Churchill and Petit Churchill. The brand's balanced and aromatic blend of selected fillers and binder leaves from Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Havana.
