Ardnamurchan AD/ Sauternes Cask Release 

Ardnamurchan Distillery introduces yet another distinguished release this year, featuring a maturation in dessert wine casks from the renowned Bordeaux region of France. These casks originate from Sauternes AOC, known for its exquisite wines crafted from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and Muscadelle grapes. Once affected by "noble rot," these grapes develop a sweet, aromatic profile with subtle oak notes. In this expression, Ardnamurchan's bright, spicy spirit is harmoniously complemented by the apricot and almond flavors imparted by the Sauternes cask, creating a refined and complex tasting experience.

Owned by legendary independent bottler Adelphi this distillery has been producing spirit since 2014. The company decided to release the first official bottling until the spirit was ready.
