Fonseca cigars, a brand by a little known producer of Cuban tobacco but one who certainly pioneered the industry. Don Francisco E. Fonseca was born in Cuba unlike the majority of the founders of the Cuban brands. Restringing the Fonseca Cigar brand in 1892 he started a long road of emigration moving to New York and eventual seeking US citizenship. Quickly becoming a success on the Island of Cuba and also on the open world market, Fonseca cigars where regarded as the finest of their era. Made using only the finest Tobacco and wrapped tinfoil and Chinese rice paper the tobacco maintained its moisture and quality longer. These practices eventually gave birth to the now often seen Aluminium tubes. Now made in smaller amounts and seen rarely the Fonseca Brand is known for its light and floral tastes.
