35 year old Blend 70cl
This 35 year old blend was produced by Skene Whisky to celebrate the heritage of Leith and its relation to the whisky industry. The whisky is and Edrington blend that has matured in a sherry butt for 35 years. In the 1700's Leith was one of the most important ports of all Europe. Casks were taken there full of port wines, sherries and grain from all over Europe. The thrifty Scots then aged the whisky in these empty casks, hence the role of the sherry butt in this bottling! The tartan lining the box is the Port of Leith tartan and was registered by Kinloch Anderson in 1995 in the Scottish register of Tartans. The cask number and the individual bottle number are highlighted in the label.
