Mr Brog Smoking Pipes No. 300 Dyktator - Teak

Dyktator  pipe is made with high quality pear wood that is dried for 2 full season cycles to harden as much as possible. This pipe is made from the roots of pear trees, and is equivalent to the density of briar pipes.
The number 300 Dyktator pipe is the classic pipe yet very unique, finished with natural coating and carnauba wax. Every pipe is signature stamped with the Mr. Brog seal, and model number hand made by Mr. Brog in Poland.

About Mr Brog Pipe Workshop ...

The first recorded mentions of the pipe-maker profession date back to 1870. However, the true flourishing of this craft began with the arrival of Wincenty Swoboda from the Czech Republic to Przemyśl in 1908, when he founded the First National Smoking Accessories Factory. The master passed on his skills and passion to his apprentices, including Ludwik Walat, Michał Walat, Jan Walat, and Wiktor Winiarski. These apprentices continued the master's work, teaching the next generation of young craftsmen.

In 1947, Wiktor Winiarski and Zbigniew Mazuryk decided to establish a company, which they registered with the Guild of Various Crafts at the beginning of 1948. In December 1947, a 17-year-old Kazimierz Róg, encouraged by W. Winiarski, began his apprenticeship with them. In 1965, the partnership was dissolved, and the company split into two separate workshops. W. Winiarski took over one part of the company, while Z. Mazuryk took the other part (K. Róg also joined him). By 1980, all the gentlemen—Mazuryk, Róg, Błażkowski, and Kordybacha—had already earned the titles of master craftsmen.

In 1981, Zbigniew Mazuryk formed a partnership with his employees under the name "M.R.B." (Mazuryk, Róg, Błażkowski). The "MRB" mark was thereafter stamped on the pipes and cigar holders they produced. After Zbigniew Mazuryk’s death in 1986, K. Róg and J. Błażkowski paid off a third of the factory's value to the deceased’s wife and continued the pipe-making business. However, their good fortune ended when the owner of the premises where the company was located terminated their lease. As a result, they placed an advertisement in the press: "We are selling a pipe and cigar holder factory, Barska Street, Przemyśl," but no one responded. Given the situation, in the spring of 1991, Józef Błażkowski resigned from pipe-making and shifted to the trade industry.

In 1991, the paths of master Kazimierz Róg and Zbyszek Bednarczyk crossed, and by June 1991, they organized a workshop in Ostrów, near Przemyśl, on the Bednarczyk family's property. On July 1, 1991, they registered the company "Wooden Accessories Manufacturing, S.C. Róg Kazimierz & Bednarczyk Zbigniew," which was a continuation of the company originally founded in 1948. Since 1992, the "BRÓG" mark has been stamped on the pipes produced by the workshop. At the end of 1995, Kazimierz Róg retired, and Zbyszek Bednarczyk registered the workshop under his own name as "Mr. Bróg Pipe Workshop."
