Ardnamurchan AD 10 year old

Ardnamurchan Distillery celebrated its tenth anniversary in the summer of 2024, marking a decade of craftsmanship and innovation. To commemorate this significant milestone, the distillery released a special edition of its Ardnamurchan 10 Years Old whisky. This limited batch, consisting of 15,000 bottles, was crafted exclusively from 100% first-fill bourbon casks, ensuring a rich foundation of flavor. Approximately half of the batch underwent a unique finishing process, spending over a year in Champagne Paul Lanais barriques. This added maturation in the prestigious Champagne casks introduced distinctive notes and further elevated the character of the whisky, making this release a remarkable and memorable expression of Ardnamurchan's dedication to quality and experimentation.

Owned by legendary independent bottler Adelphi this distillery has been producing spirit since 2014. The company decided to release the first official bottling until the spirit was ready. 

Ardnamurchan Distillery was not just a place where whisky was made; it was an ode to tradition and craftsmanship. The distillery was constructed using locally sourced stones, and its design was inspired by the ancient ruins that dotted the Highland landscape.
