Glenfarclas 105 is an exceptional cask strength single malt whisky, celebrated for its rich heritage and bold character. First introduced in 1968, it marked a milestone in whisky history as the very first barrel proof single malt ever released by a distillery. The name “105” pays homage to its original British Proof strength, equivalent to a robust 60% ABV today. Glenfarclas Distillery
Glenfarclas distillery in Ballindaloch, Banffshire is one of the last family owned distilleries in Speyside. It was founded in 1836 as a farm distillery. The distillery went through many acquisitions, crises and expansions since its inception. Distilling capacity was increased in 1960 and again in 1976. A visitor centre was also built in 1973. Glenfarclas distillery was one of the first distilleries to ever release a 40 year old whisky as part of its core range.
