Balblair Distillery
Balblair distillery, located north of Inverness in Ross-shire, was established in 1872 to replace the original 1790 distillery for better access to railways. Some buildings date back to the 18th century. Family-owned until 1894, it closed in 1911, reopening in 1948 under new ownership.
