This Glen Moray expression exemplifies the distillery’s dedication to exploring the diverse range of flavors that different cask types impart to whisky. Initially matured in American oak casks to develop the classic Speyside character, it is subsequently finished for several months in port casks sourced from Porto Cruz, the world’s leading port producer. These Portuguese wine casks enrich the single malt with layers of ripe fruit, gentle sweetness, and soft wine undertones, while imparting a distinctive rosy hue. Light, fruity, and harmoniously balanced, the Port Cask Finish appeals to both seasoned single malt enthusiasts and those discovering whisky for the first time.
Glen Moray Distillery
Located in Elgin, Morayshire, this distillery was founded in 1897 in the site of a brewery. The distillery has been producing younger releases since the 1990s. The portfolio also includes 'finished' whiskies with the most outstanding being the Chardonnay Cask Matured and the Port cask finish. It is currently owned by French Company 'La Martiniquaise'.
