Distilled in 2010 and meticulously finished in a Rubino Marsala Red Wine cask for 17 months, this expression unveils a captivating narrative of dual personalities, transforming entirely with the addition of water. When enjoyed neat, expect enticing aromas and a palate rich with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants, complemented by a subtle interplay of strawberries, dark chocolate, and a peppery kick, characteristic of its bold 61.8% ABV. With a drop of water, the profile evolves into a sweeter symphony dominated by tropical fruits and hints of vanilla, while maintaining its initial essence of dark fruits and berries, delivering a juicy and indulgently sweet palate experience.

Macduff Distillery
This distillery is located in the outskirts of the village of the same name on the Moray coast. This distillery was built in 1962 as a mini whisky boom was unravelling in the post-WWII era. Macduff distillery was built using funds provided by a brokering firm based in Glasgow and was soon sold to Italian drinks company Martini and Rossi who managed it through their William Lawson brand.
Production capacity was increased in 1990 and a range of single malt whiskies was released. The whiskies were being sold under the name Glen Deveron. Young releases were being bottled to satisfy demand for blended whisky in Italy in the 1990's.
In 1992 Martini and Rossi were bought by the Bacardi corporation. The blending arm of the Bacardi group, John Dewar & Sons, took control of the Macduff distillery. In 2014 the whisky was relaunched and re branded. Its current name is The Deveron.
The style of whisky produced by this distillery is delicate and fresh with nutty undertones and grassy aromas.
