The company "Alois P̦schl Tabakfabriken" was founded as a Brasiltabakabrik A. P̦schl & Cie. In Landshut on the Christmas Eve 1902 by Alois P̦schl, who took his leave at the age of 29. The Landshut site was chosen because the tobacco mills could be operated on the river Isar , in the middle of Niederbayern, a very important sales area for snuff.
