A Turrent
The Turrent family, Alberto and Alejandro, are widely recognized as the leading figures in Mexico's cigar industry. As owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A. de C.V., they are renowned for producing Mexico's most well-known cigar, Te-Amo, and for being the country's largest cigar tobacco growers. The quality of their San Andrés maduro leaf, grown outside of Veracrúz, is highly regarded worldwide and their tobacco is a key component in many of America's popular premium cigar brands. Although the Te-Amo brand has historically sold most strongly in New York City, the Turrents regularly visit other regions as well.
