Idle Assembly Premium Aged Rum
Idle Assembly Rum was born out of a sun-soaked bit of irony. Its founder, David Flint Wood, spent nearly three decades living in the laid-back charm of Dunmore Town on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. At the town’s Government Dock, a weathered sign listed various rules—one of which sternly read: “No Loafing or Idle Assembly.” Naturally, David turned that rule on its head and named his rum in honor of doing exactly that: kicking back, taking it slow, and enjoying life with a glass in hand.
The rum itself is as worldly and well-traveled as the founder. It’s a sophisticated blend from a third-generation family of master blenders in Colombia, combining rums from Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama. Each component has been aged between 5 and 20 years in ex-bourbon white oak barrels, delivering depth, warmth, and just the right amount of rebellion.
Think of it as a liquid postcard from the Caribbean—and beyond. Just don’t wait too long to get your hands on it: only 6,500 bottles were produced in the very first batch.
