Kilchoman Rockside 11 year old
Rockside 11 is Islay's only Single Farm Single Malt, produced entirely on Rockside Farm at Kilchoman. Every stage of its creation—from barley cultivation and floor malting to peat smoking, distillation, maturation, and bottling—takes place on the estate, reflecting a true farm-to-bottle approach.
Lightly peated and matured in a carefully selected combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, Rockside 11 delivers a refined balance of gentle peat smoke, vibrant tropical fruit, bright citrus sweetness, and warming mixed spices, showcasing the distinctive character of its single-farm origin.
Kilchoman Distillery
Kilchoman distillery is located on Islay. When it started operations it was the first distillery to be built there in some 124 years. The distillery carries out all the stages of the whisky making process on Islay. Some 25% of its malted barley is sourced from the local fields surrounding the site.
Kilchoman distillery has expanded its prodcution capacity once and will do so again in 2018. For such a young distillery it has been a fantastic first decade. It looks like the future is smiling to them.
