FELIPE GREGORIO

Felipe Gregorio is the creation of Philip G. Wynne, a cigar maker who has spent more than three decades exploring distinctive tobacco across Central America and the Caribbean.

Entering the cigar trade in 1990, Wynne originally produced his Petrus brand in Honduras. By 1992–93, he created something more personal, transforming his first two names, Philip Gregory, into the Spanish-inspired Felipe Gregorio. Early production began in Honduras with Julio Eiroa before expanding to Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

The range reflects Wynne’s fascination with tobacco itself, with blends drawing on leaves from across the world, including Ecuadorian, Mexican, Brazilian, Nicaraguan, Dominican and Costa Rican tobaccos. Among his favourites is Pelo de Oro, or “hair of gold” — an ancestral Cuban-seed tobacco cultivated in Costa Rica and featured prominently in the Power series and dedicated Pelo de Oro range.
