La Flor Dominicana La Vocada
The overturned. This is what ‘La Volcada’ directly translates to, although that’s not exactly what this cigar is about. The term ‘La Volcada’ comes from a step in the tango dance that originated in Uruguay where Litto Gomez grew up and this cigar celebrates his Uruguayan heritage. This is the third instalment in an unofficial series of small batch cigars released by La Flor Domincana; the first being La Nox and the second the Andalusian Bull. An oily San Andres wrapper covers an Ecuadorian Corojo binder and filler from the Dominican Republic. Featuring a knotted pigtail cap this cigar has notes of leather, coffee and pepper with spicy undertones and an open, even draw.

La Flor Dominicana
La Flor Dominicana is a premium cigar brand that was founded in 1996 by Litto and Ines Gomez. The brand has become known for its bold, full-bodied cigars that are made from high-quality Dominican tobacco.
The La Flor Dominicana cigar factory is located in the heart of the Dominican Republic's tobacco-growing region in the town of Tamboril. The factory produces a range of premium cigars, including the popular Double Ligero and Ligero Cabinet Oscuro lines.
One of the unique features of the La Flor Dominicana cigar factory is that it uses a vertical integration approach to cigar production. This means that the company controls every aspect of the cigar-making process, from growing the tobacco to rolling and packaging the finished product.
Owner Litto Gomez has been referred to as "arguably the most innovative mind in the cigar business" by Cigar Aficionado, which thanks to industry developments such as the patented Chisel tip that can only be found on LFD cigars, is no false statement. Cigar Aficionado also awarded La Flor Dominicana's Andalusian Bull #1 Cigar of the Year in 2016, solidifying their place as one of the leading cigar brands today.
