Wheelhouse Prophecy offers an early glimpse into the future of the island's long-awaited distillery. Created ahead of Benbecula Distillery's inaugural release, this limited single malt captures the style and character the distillery aspires to achieve in the years to come.
To realise this vision, the master distiller carefully selected and married two parcels of whisky from a neighbouring island distillery. First-fill Oloroso sherry casks contribute rich sweetness, depth, and bold fruit character, while first-fill American oak bourbon barrels enhance the spirit's elegant smoky profile. The result is a beautifully balanced single malt, where gentle smoke and coastal salinity intertwine with layers of ripe fruit, delicate florals, and warming oak spice—a fitting prophecy of the whiskies yet to come from Benbecula.
